Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in the robbery of a jewelry store at 5757 Westheimer about 11 a.m. on January 7.
The suspect is described only as a black male in his mid 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a slim build. He wore a blue hoodie, black jeans and was armed with a pistol. A composite sketch and surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this news release.

The suspect entered the Exotic Diamond jewelry store at the above address and, at gunpoint, managed to disarm an off-duty HPD officer working an approved extra job at the location. The suspect then stole an undetermined amount of high-end jewelry from the store and immediately fled the scene.

At 10 a.m. TODAY (Wednesday, January 28), an investigator in the HPD Robbery Division will be available to answer questions regarding this investigation at the HPD Midwest Patrol Station, 7277 Regency Square Boulevard (Key map 530-C).
