Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3939 Synott #1417 about 8:10 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 9).
The victim, Walter Joseph Maxwell, 30, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer B. Nabors and Officer J. Rexroad reported:
Mr. Maxwell was outside his apartment when he was approached by an unknown suspect who fired several shots. Maxwell then ran into the apartment complex courtyard where he collapsed and died. The suspect then fled the scene.
