Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 10100 Bissonnet about 9:45 p.m. on Saturday (July 19).
The identity of the deceased male victim, 47, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant T. Trometer and Officer N. Godin reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the street, not at a crosswalk, when he was struck by a red Dodge pickup truck. Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The female driver was determined not to be intoxicated and was questioned and released without charges.
