Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 5100 Chennault about 4 p.m. on Sunday (June 22).
The female, 22, of the above address, showed no visible signs of trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Hassig and Officer T. Ferguson reported:
The female, who lived at the residence with other family members, had gone out the previous night (June 21) to various bars and returned home about 2 a.m. Family members attempted unsuccessfully to wake her the next morning but her bedroom door was locked. A few hours later, the family again attempted to wake her and still received no answer. Family members then went outside, looked through her window and saw her deceased on the bed.
The investigation is pending autopsy results.
