Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12900 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 9:30 a.m. today (June 22).
The female victim, 18, was pronounced dead at Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer D. Ashford reported:
The victim was a passenger in a blue Toyota Corolla traveling westbound on the East Freeway when it struck a black Ford F-150 pickup truck that appeared to be stopped or accelerating into in a moving lane of traffic. The victim was transported to the hospital where she died. The driver and a second passenger in the Corolla were transported to LBJ General Hospital in unknown conditions. The driver of the Ford was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition.
The investigation is continuing.
